Feedback time!

in Random Musings

Art by prole on www.sxc.hut

Okay, here is the part where this blog becomes a dialogue rather than a monologue. I need some feedback. I’ve done the research, but I need to hear from my readers.

How do you read?

  • ebooks? What format? Kindle? Nook? PDFs? Print only?
  • How often do you rate the books that you read? What incentives would you need to leave your feedback?
  • Do you prefer novels, novellas, short stories, blogs, essays, nonfiction?
  • When was the last time you bought a story by an author you didn’t know, and what made you do it?

I will have my short story collection ready by the end of the month, and I just want to make sure that I am fulfilling the needs of you… my core readership.

Any and all opinions are welcome and needed. Comment below. Let me learn from you.

Thanks in advance!

I read from my kindle more often than not these days. Since I got it for Christmas I have finished more books than in the last 10 years combined.
I only rate books when I really love them. I prefer not to leave negative feedback too often.
I really like reading books with multiple books using the same character set. I recently discovered a few great trilogies and may be leaning more heavily that way in the future. Enough character development without getting stale.
I generally try out new authors when I have heard about them from others. I know that isn’t very original…but it is true. I also find new authors by searching the “you may also like” portion on various websites.
Hope this helps at least a little….
