Chicken Soup


I recently received word that my story, “A Perfect Ten,” will appear in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Finding Your Happiness!

This essay is about my personal weight loss journey from 303 pounds to a size 10 just using calorie counting and exercise. It was my starting point to feeling like I really can achieve my dreams.

Since finding my confidence, I started writing again, and I have found quick success. The fact that I did the weight loss on my own terms and without pills, surgery, a gym, or a crazy diet gave me the desire to see what other dreams I might be able to fulfill if I put my heart and soul into it.

I will post the story here after its October release in Chicken Soup. I am thrilled beyond measure to have this second story published in such a respectable anthology in the same year.
