Do you remember the vision you had for your future when you were a teenager? Maybe you wanted to be a rock star or a professional ball player. Maybe you wanted to be an actor or an astronaut. My dream was to write for a big city newspaper by day and pen novels by night.

I’ve always wanted to write. I lived in the journalism lab through middle school and high school. I competed in UIL writing competitions and went to the State level starting my sophomore year. I went to college on journalism scholarships. I worked for newspapers starting my 8th grade year. Journalism was my niche.
